All Bossier Parish Schools will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King's Day.
Our Fall Athletic Assembly will be Tuesday, January 20. We will recognize our All Academic Teams along with a few other awards. Not every athlete will get an award. This is for football. cross country, girls' basketball, pep squad, and volleyball.
Boys' Basketball will have their jamboree at Elm Grove Middle School. It is $5 for students and adults to attend. According to the HMS handbook students must attend with an adult and no outside food or drinks allowed.
Our Lady Bucs will have a softball game against Ruston at HHS on Thursday. It will begin at 5 pm. According to the HMS handbook students must attend with an adult and no outside food or drinks allowed.
Don't forget our Mardi Gras Tickets are available on School Cash Online. The last day to purchase them will be January 30.

Bus 48 and 72 will not be running again tomorrow. Other buses will transport these students. Buses 301, 67, 37, 285, 299, and 1 may be delayed as well since they are helping get other students. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

PBIS Trips - Students who qualified for the PBIS trips are allowed to wear a Haughton shirt or Christmas shirt with jeans on the field trip. Jeans may not have any holes, rips, or tears. Hoodies and low cut shirts are not allowed. Grades will go to on their field trip on the following days: 6th grade - Monday, 7th grade - Tuesday, and 8th grade - Wednesday. Non Behaving Bucs must wear their uniforms. Non Behaving Bucs will call home if they do not wear their uniforms.
PBIS Celebrations - The celebrations are on different days for our grade levels. This is for students who qualified as a Behaving Buc for the second quarter. Students who are a second quarter Behaving Bucs may wear jeans with a Haughton shirt or Christmas shirt on their celebration day. The following are the celebration days: 6th grade - Tuesday, 7th grade - Wednesday, 8th grade - Monday Non Behaving Bucs must wear their uniforms. Non Behaving Bucs will call home if they do not wear their uniforms.
Band will have their Christmas Tour to Princeton Elementary and Haughton Elementary on Monday. Please contact Mr. Germain for more information.
NJHS will have a field trip to the nursing home on Monday. Please contact Mrs. K. Brown or Mrs. Wood for more information.

We will have much more details to share if you are interested, but our HMS Choir Director Rachel Gordon and HMS Librarian, Mrs. Temple, are partnering to produce Seussical, Jr., a great show because it blends beloved Dr. Seuss tales into a heartwarming, energetic musical with catchy songs, vibrant characters, and valuable themes of believing in yourself and the importance of the small, teaching lessons about imagination, perseverance, and community for all ages!!!
