NJHS is collecting canned good for Operation Blessing.
Our Lady Bucs are ready to start their basketball season with two home games! Monday we will play Greenacres and Thursday we will play Cope. Games begin at 4 pm. All students must have an adult with them. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
Tuesday our football team will battle North Desoto at home. Join us at HHS to cheer on our boys . All students must have an adult with them. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
HMS will have our Fall Pep Rally on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 2 pm. Parents of students being recognized are invited to attend. Please note we cannot check out students after 1:45 that day. Students will be in the Pep Rally, and it is too hard to locate them. An email was sent out with detailed instructions on where to park, where to enter the gym, and where to sit.
Our HMS choir will perform at HMS on Nov. 6 at 6 pm. We would love for you to enjoy their concert.
Our Student Council will have their monthly meeting on Friday.
If you are interested in trying out for the Lady Bucs' Soccer team, you will need to get your waiver turned in to Coach Franklin before Friday. Our 7th and 8th grade girls will have tryouts this Friday.
Parents of 8th graders are welcome to attend. You will park on the carline side and scan a QR code to sign in.

Parents will park in the last row on the carline side (see map) and be allowed to enter at 1:45 through the door located by the girls' locker room (see map). Parents will need to scan our QR code to sign in to keep a record of who is in attendance. We will have a few Red Jackets by the door asking you to sign in. Once you have signed in, please show the red jacket that you signed in.
The map below also shows you were parents will need to sit. Please stay in these areas so we can fit our students in their assigned areas.

Red Ribbon Week begins Monday. Our Student Council helps create a our "dress up" calendar for this week. Students should be in uniform bottoms Monday - Wednesday. On Thursday students need to make sure their bottoms still follow uniform guidelines for length and no holes. Please see the graphic for more information.
Yearbook Retakes, Club Pictures, and Team pictures will be Tuesday. If your student wants to wear "teaming up clothes" and take pictures they must bring a change of clothes. Students must be in uniform for pictures. Sponsor Mrs. Temple

HMS handbook states students cannot attend HMS sporting events without an adult. This applies to our away games as well. Remember outside drinks are not allowed into games.
Impact Aid Cards are online. They are due by October 24. Each day last week, Mrs. Sanchez drew one name from each grade level to win a concession pass. We will continue that this week. Once you enter your child ID the card auto populates. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete the form. Contact Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Willcox, and Mrs. Sanchez for more information.

Students must know the homeroom teacher of the student they are sending the Boo Gram to. There will be preprinted forms at lunch for your child to complete, or you can print them at home and have your child turn them in at lunch.

Our Buccaneer football team will travel to Benton Middle School this week and take on the Tigers. Coaches: Coach Newton, Coach Hanish, Coach Kizzia, Coach Chester, Coach Lucero, and Coach Turner
We will have our Honor Assembly/Breakfast for Quarter 1 on Thursday. This is for students who made all As or As and Bs on their report card. There will be QR codes for you to sign in when you enter the side door by the car line side. For questions about your student's grades contact their teachers.
Our PBIS team is excited for the Halloween Dance. Our 6th graders earned this attendance dance by having the best attendance record for the grade levels. To attend you had to be present 95% of the quarter and not have any referrals. Our Hall of Fame students always get to attend this dance. We also drew 10 random names from 7th and 8th grade to attend as well. They also had to be present 95% of the time and not have any referrals. These students know who they are. Information on drop off and pickup will be sent out later this week to ensure the safety of all students. Please make sure you follow the guidelines for wearing costumes to the dance.
