Recipients of the Virginia K. Shehee Most Influential Young Woman award must demonstrate their leadership, poise, and determination through meaningful acts of philanthropy for their fellow students or their community.
Nominees for the Virginia K. Shehee Most Influential Young Woman award must meet the following criteria:
Must be a high school junior or senior in Northwest Louisiana
Demonstrate influence in their school and/or community
Exhibit significant education and/or community accomplishments
Must have shown a commitment to philanthropy by helping children, the elderly, those in need, the arts, business development, education, and/or other acts of caring

This week our BPSTIL SkillsUSA State Officers, Sarah Jordan and Lucinda Palma travelled to Lafayette along with other state officers to host the SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference. SkillsUSA members from across the state participated and were taught valuable SkillsUSA Framework qualities.

The CNA students are enjoying their week and learning a lot about healthcare in the hospital. They have had some amazing experiences shadowing and observing in various areas. We are extremely grateful for our partnership with Christus Health and Willis Knighton.
Operation Blessing kickoff starts next week with BPSTIL's Can Food Drive. Donations will be accepted until December 6th!
All Bossier Schools and Centers will be closed on Tuesday, November 5 for Election Day.
We are so proud of the BPSTIL fire students who stepped up, without hesitation, when they heard about a student in need. They immediately began bringing in food, toiletries, and other items for this family. This shows their true heart and dedication to helping and serving others. We encourage others to donate gently used or new items (specifically canned goods, toiletries, or clothing) to local schools throughout the school year.
There were no tricks just treats and lots of fun when our PIVOT class celebrated Halloween with Christ Fit Gym Thrift Store and various participating Bossier City businesses.
